Coaching Staff
Jim Mace
Head Coach
Offensive Coord.
Coach Mace will be entering his 11th season at SP, the 10th as head coach. He previously served as a defensive coordinator at John R. Rogers High School and Davenport High School and has coached for 20 years. Mace calls the offensive plays. He currently teaches Social Studies at Shadle Park High School.

Darnell Handcox
WR Coach
Coach Handcox grew up in Walla Walla, Washington and attended Walla Walla High School. He Played Football, Basketball and ran Track. Ultimately, he played football at EWU for one year.
Coach Handcox just finished his second year at Shadle serving as an Interventionist. He is entering his third year coaching Football at SP and 4th overall.
He also coaches track at Shadle Park.
Joel Morris
Defensive Coordinator
Coach Morris is entering his 7th year coaching for SP and has a spent many years coaching youth football. He was on SP's 3rd place in State 2013 squad. He is currently teaching Language Arts at Shadle Park High School.
Matt Doyle
Offensive Line Coach
Run Game Coord.
Coach Doyle played football for Shadle Park and would go on to play at EWU. He has served the program for 16 years. He currently teaches elementary PE at the Montessori Elementary School.
Scott Stalder
Defensive Line Coach
Coach Stalder is entering his seventh year coaching at Shadle Park where he also teaches Math (8th year in building). He previously coached at Deer Park.

Cameron Gump
Linebacker Coach
Coach Gump is starting his second year coaching and teaching (PE & Health) at Shadle Park. He was previously a head coach at Chewelah High School.

JV Offensive Coord.
Coach Brown is entering his third year coaching football at SP. He has also coached at Rosalia (2 years), Medical Lake (14 years), and Wapato (2 years).
Joe Hunt
Frosh Assistant
Coach Hunt will be serving his second year with the Freshman. He currently subs as a teacher in the district.
Ryan Wier
Freshman Assistant
Coach Wier will be entering his fifth year coaching. He was a solid player for SP and graduated in 2017. He currently coaches track and serves in the Army Reserves.
